As a police officer in southern Ohio, Ive heard a little on this case for several years now. This case has captivated me even though it occurred two counties away. I found myself glued to the television and the internet the last 10 days hoping and praying that carries body would be found. I wish the best for the culberson family, and i hope all your prayers are answered. Even though ive seen alot in my 9 years as a police officer, ill never understand how a man could hurt someone as beautiful as Carrie. Prayers be with you. though i never met carrie i feel like shes my friend whom ws killed.

I am doing a report on the Laci Peterson case. And I clicked on the site tolook at other missing persons and Carries picture was on it. She looks just like my 28 yr old sister, so i clicked it, ive read about her and she is just like my sister and i am close wth her. I could not imagine losing her. I have followed this case since it started back in 1996. At the time of Carrie's disappearance, she and I were the same age. When I saw it on the news it struck a cord with me. I couldn't help but picture myself in the very same situation. I was transfixed by it all, and followed the development day by day, and finally waiting on pins and needles for the verdict to come in. I cried out in excitement when Vincent Doan was found guilty. Although it can never bring her back, it was most definitely a triumph for her loved ones.
I have been waiting for years for her body to be found, and retelling the story whenever strange cases of missing persons are brought up. I was so pleased to hear of the tips and the new search - and I hope this will bring about the closure that Carrie's loved ones, and particularly her mother, so desperately need and deserve. My heart goes out to you, and know that there are people whom you don't even know who are praying for the completion of this chapter in your lives.

Debbie, I just wanted you to know that your family has been in our thoughts and prayers over the last seven and a half years.
